Role and Responsibilities
- Excellent knowledge of GST, Customs laws - place of supply, rates and workings of GST department
- Identifying the opportunities for the indirect tax and pitching the same to the client
- Preparation of proposals and engagement letter
- Updating the client on the relevant amendments and maintaining good client relationship
- Experience in handling tax assessments and tax audits
- Experience in the preparation and filing of GSTR 1, GSTR 3B, and GSTR 6
- Experience in preparation and review of GSTR 9 & 9C
- Applying for GST registrations, amendment of GST registration
- Preparation and filing of refund application along with relevant annexures
- Working experience in visiting departments and closing out pending litigations
- Preparing draft replies for show-cause notices or any other notices received from the department
- Proactive in responding to client queries and the queries raised by the internal team in relation to taxes
- Advanced knowledge of interpretation of financial statements. Working knowledge of direct tax is an added advantage.
Qualifications:
- CA from a reputed Institute
- 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role
Skills:
- Experience in handling a team of accountants
- Knowledge of Direct Taxes and Indirect Taxes
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong multi-tasking abilities
