Our Client are a part of the MG Brothers Group, a 60 year old enterprise which has various businesses such as Transportation, Auto Dealerships, Agriculture & Real Estate to name a few. With a capacity to convert 15,000 tons of steel into springs each year; they are the Number 1 spring maker of high quality springs in India. Established in 1960, it was the first spring manufacturing unit in the sub continent.
Role and Responsibilities
- IT Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement an IT roadmap aligned with manufacturing and business objectives.
Identify and integrate emerging technologies to enhance productivity and automation. Lead the digitisation initiatives for the company. - Infrastructure & Security:
Oversee IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity.
Ensure high system availability, data integrity, and disaster recovery planning. - System Implementation & Integration:
Lead ERP (SAP preferred), MES, and other industrial software implementation.
Ensure seamless integration between IT and OT (Operational Technology) systems. - Data Analytics & Reporting:
Leverage IT-driven analytics for predictive maintenance and process optimization.
Provide real-time reporting solutions for manufacturing KPIs and business insights. - Project & Team Management:
Oversee IT projects from planning to execution within timelines and budgets.
Manage and mentor IT teams for enhanced technical capabilities and innovation. - Vendor & Compliance Management:
Manage IT vendors, software licensing, and service contracts.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, GDPR, cybersecurity norms). - Manufacturing Support & Automation:
Support Industry 4.0 initiatives such as IoT, AI-driven automation, and smart manufacturing.
Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime through IT-enabled solutions. - User Training & IT Support:
Ensure 24/7 IT support for smooth plant operations.
Conduct training sessions for employees on IT tools, cybersecurity, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- 10- 15 years in a mid sized company of turnover of about 500- 1000 Cr. Automobile Industry/Manufacturing Sector / Proven IT leadership experience in a manufacturing environment/ Knowledge of cybersecurity, networking, and IT infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Skills:
- SAP ECC implemented in the flagship entities and in the process of being implemented across all entities
- SAP hosted on the cloud
- Business specific softwares used at specific locations
- IOT devices in some plants
